Pickers Hut

A 1940 charming little dwelling known as Pickers Hut. Back then, it served as a haven for the dedicated women of the "Women's Land Army," who courageously stepped in to take over agricultural work while the men were away at war. As the seasons changed and the fruits ripened in nearby valleys, these female fruit-picking teams would travel the countryside, seeking out the bountiful harvest. During their journeys, they would find respite in shared huts like this one.

In 2018, Pickers Hut underwent a loving restoration process, saving it from the brink of collapse. This delightful abode offers a unique opportunity to step into the past while enjoying a romantic weekend escape. A sense of nostalgia, it invites you to immerse yourself in the stories and memories of those who came before us.

Experience the magic of Pickers Hut—a cherished slice of history transformed into a haven of tranquility and romance. It's an invitation to create your own cherished memories within the walls that once sheltered the dedicated women of the Women's Land Army.
